Important: The ZX Spectrum Keyboard

The keyboard for the ZX Spectrum is very odd and you should keep it nearby to know what to type. Specifically, the "delete" key is pressed by holding down SHIFT and pressing 0 on your keyboard. Here is a graphical representation of the ZX Spectrum keyboard for your convenience. (Please note it is a diagram and not clickable or active.)

What is this?

The Internet Archive is now experimenting with an in-browser emulator that allows you to try software in the archives. Based on the MESS emulation software, this JSMESS (Javascript MESS) player should run in most modern browsers and will map to most keys on your keyboard. Constant improvements are being done to the emulation software and this interface. For background information on JSMESS and answers to common questions, see our JSMESS FAQ.
